Position Statement on Water Resources Regulations (Wales)

Assured Biosolids has published a BAS Standard Position Statement on the Water Resources (Control of Agricultural Pollution) (Wales) Regulations 2021. The Welsh Government have introduced the regulations to reduce losses of pollutants from agriculture to the environment. The regulations effectively apply Nitrate Vulnerable Zones (NVZ) requirements to the whole of Wales, which previously applied to specified parts of Wales. The Position Statement details how the Biosolids Assurance Scheme Standard requirements will relate to Wales going forwards, including what clauses apply where and from when.
