Coronavirus Position Statement

Assured Biosolids has just published a Position Statement on coronavirus in relation to biosolids treatment and recycling. In summary the available evidence suggests it would be highly unlikely that the COVID-19 virus can survive in sewage or sludge for long, which when combined with the controls and barriers in the BAS further reduce the likelihood that the virus could pose any risk to human health. Given the evolving situation and increasing knowledge of the virus itself, Assured Biosolids will review this position statement as further evidence becomes available, any further amendments will be updated on the website.
