BAS Certified Biosolids to become a requirement of Red Tractor Assurance

From 1^st November 2021, BAS Certified Biosolids will be a requirement of the Red Tractor Assurance Standards – it is currently only a recommendation. This demonstrates the importance of quality assurance on agricultural inputs to the food chain. Farmers/landowners can check the certification status of any biosolids they use under Certification here – the Chains of Conformity shows the status of all sites (Reference Processing Facilities) along with a unique identifier e.g. BAS001, that may also be found on documentation provided by their suppliers.
